as title - any help please?
I used parcel force for a frame (160mm FS) the other week, was about £17, bike shop will probably sell you a bike box for a fiver...
Second for Parcelforce.
I got a couple of bike boxes from my local Halfords for nowt.
You're not far from On One / Planet X there, either.
I'll bet they've got a few once-used bike boxes that you could shore up with some duct tape.
Might try decathlon too - sure they will be able to help. Is their a standard size for a bike box? Thinking dimensions to try to courier
1470mm x 900mm x 220mm ?
LBSs are usually happy to give away old cardboard bike boxes, just pad it well.
Avoid Paisley Freight and their sister company, bikedelivery, I'm seeing them in court next Tuesday. If anyone else has had problems with them I would love to hear from you.
For balance, I used Paisley Freight only a couple of weeks ago and they were spot on.
Shipped a bike to the other end of the country for £25 + £10 for insurance. I got a bike box free of charge from Sports Direct, Halfords refused as they have a recycling policy, seemingly.
+1 for paisley freight all way been good to me.
Also every time I send a bike I walk into halfords and they are always happy to give me a box FOC
Evans & je James in Sheffield have always happily supplied me with boxes whenever I've asked
Where are you in Sheffield? I've a full bike box in lodge Moor and was going to get rid of it tomorrow
Paisley freight always been good for me and halfords are pretty good for getting old bike boxes. Mine usually has a few outback that they are happy for people to take.
