There are loads of threads showing neat ways to store bikes in tiny spaces.
What would you do if you had all the space needed?
What's the most elegant/simple/organised way to do it?
Those stands in Mikes photos, definitely. The one you shove the tyre into is a pain for MTB tyres and can scratch rims.
If I could afford for space not to be an issue, I could afford some sort of bike butler/valet. So who cares how they're stored.. 😉
"Jeeves! The gnarpoon today I think!"
If you have loads of space I would have them on plinths with crank stands.
I'd probably have the ones that are 45 degrees vertical like you do have in some cycle stores in offices
Hanging on a rail by the saddle is bad for the dropper post apparently... or at least thats what my LBS reckons!
Would almost be tempted by the seat post hanging, or extended bar from wall.
My thoughts - hanging by a wheel (either front or rear) may affect suspension forks, and I would er away from tyre in contact with anything. Same for those that rest the bike on the wheels - would you not end up with potential flat spots if tyre pressure reduced?
Even the ones that support the top tube are a pain though, with sloping top tubes and frame bags making things awkward.
Like Simon's elegant stand though 🙂
Unlimited space? Against the wall in the bedroom!
Stripped down to basic components after every ride. 😆
