I have a Medium cotic hemlock frame that I need to sell. I have stripped it down to clean it and it needs new main pivot bearings. Should I do this before I put the brand new swingarm and new seatstays on or leave it apart in case they want to repaint the main triangle?
What do you think, leave it apart or rebuild?
I'd re-build it first, especially if you can do the bearings yourself.
Put new bearings in and then rebuild. I'd be wary of buying a frame if it wasn't bolted up. There would be that lingering doubt that there might be some reason why its in pieces...

This. I'd assume it was bent or bits missing.
Fair point, I'll pop new bearings in and then stick on the whole new back end. Should look quite nice again 🙂
