Lots of people will probably come to say SKS but I've had a Joe Blow for years without issues

Not a fan of my Joe Blow, perhaps bought the wrong model or something but it struggles with road bike pressures, which also means I can't use it to charge my tubeless tank (140psi).

Also the swivel joint where the hose joins the base of the pump seems to leak unless you fiddle with it.

I don't know if it's MTB specific pump but it's probably marginally worse than the knackered old Revolution pump I bought 20 years ago 🙄

My Lezyne CNC track pump is about 15-17 years old, gets used nearly every week since then and still going strong. It’s been left outside, knocked around in the back of a van and played with buy young kids (even submerged in a paddling pool 🤦🏼‍♂️) and still good

Think it cost about £50 when it came out so that works out at about 5 or 6 pence a week which I think is pretty good value.

if I bought it again I’d get the MTB specific one as I rarely go higher than 60psi nowadays. They’re £60 now for an analogue one and a digital one is £110 - 150 depending on spec.

I’ve had an original Joe Blow sport for years, just retired it to spare duties and replaced it with a Sport 3 model.  Picked up at Sigma for about £32 as made a bundle with other stuff needed for 20% off. Never had an issue with pressures, use for both road, Mtb and my air shot.

Another Joe Blow Sport here. I use it for road/MTB/CX tyres and charging my Airshot without any problems.

Full disclosure though - I never blow up anything above 100PSI (and that's the Airshot).

If you just have a failed connector on the tyre end of the hose I found Decathlon do an excellent replacement valve connector for about £6.

Fitted my old Joe Blow and is better in use than the original.

If it's just for mountain bike tyres don't get a high pressure one, it makes no sense. Joe Blow Mountain Ex. £32, well made, high volume so it's very fast for mountain bike tyres and decent for tubeless, big gauge, decent head. It's just the right tool for the job.

(13thfloor nails one annoying thing about high volume low pressure pumps, which is while they're the best pumps for tubeless, they're the worst for airshots etc. But tbh I can't remember the last time I couldn't get a tyre up quickly with the Mountain Ex)

Thanks all for the suggestions so far. It will be for MTB use only.
I'm thinking Joe Blow Mountain Ex.

It's not cheap @ £130 but the Topeak Joe Blow Booster is the best track pump I've owned (and I've had several over the years). Pump head works well, inflates both MTB and road tyres easily and the boost chamber works really well for tubeless inflation (you basically switch the mode to that chamber, pump it to 160psi and switch the mode back to release a load of air at once). It's not even much of a struggle to get it to 160psi

I like my Bontrager charger.

https://www.mbr.co.uk/reviews/pump-products/bontrager-dual-charger-floor-pump-review

Really fast in HV mode and after about 4 bar switch to HP mode and it easily goes to 10 bar.

Reliable smart valve, long hose and very large clear gauge.

I have a Joe Blow and just ordered the third head for it. Probably had it 10 years.

Can Mondale do a nice pump for about £45.
mines a few years old now no issues.
Nice big dial for eh more mature riders.
steel base etc . When seating tubeless I have a good success rate with it before the compressor comes out.

pretty sure STW did a review on it

Annoying part about Topeak Joe Blow pumps is that they are not really rebuildable. I got Sport version first, it lasted years but the part that clips on top of main barrel wore out. Same thing happened with Mountain version but it was excellent for tubeless tires.
For roadbike I got one those Presta core removing Lezynes, have to upgrade the pump head if I ever get back to road.

I recently bought an electric pump in Lidl........

Remains to be seen if it still works in 20 years time but I've not touched my track pump(s) since getting it.

Really? My first one lasted most of 20 years, and I was able to buy service kits to keep it going, as needed. I was given a SKS track pump and I really don't like it compared to my second Joe blow, I'm only keep it as it will do high pressure.

What should I buy?

Depends on budget. I've a Silca Pista Plus which is great, would have bought their gravel pump instead if it had been a thing (major difference is that it has a non-linear gauge).

That or SKS (also have an anniversary Rennkompressor which is a thing of beauty)

The SKS push-on hose end for presta valves is £5 on SJS website, get a couple of the insert washers at the same time as postage can be a tad swingeing on cheap things.

The pump head rebuild kits and hoses are available alright but on both of mine the part that wore out is not. The part has simple plastic clips which are attached to two notches in main barrel.

I had a Joe Blow for about 10 years it broke.

Bought a cheap (like £10 halfords job) & it's still going strong at about 7yrs old.

I do also have a airshot for stubborn tubless tyres as my now wife was petrified my coke bottle would explode.

I've had a joe blow sport for over 20 years. I had to replace the head (once) and the tube (with a new head). Easy to do both tasks.

I also have a cheap one from Aldi that cost me £6.99 when I bought it for use in the bike store at work when I was commuting regularly. Not as good as the topeak, but perfectly servicable

I bought a Silca Elettrico Ultimate Electric Pump, got it at the weekend.  Great bit of kit, not cheap though.  But it is very versatile.  I take carry it with me on my commute, got a slow puncture yesterday and stopped mid ride to pump it up

Joe Blow Mountain Ex ordered. By coincidence I was given a £50 amazon voucher yesterday (that I'm not sure I deserve but haven't refused) so it's not cost me anything 😀 .
