Looking for a lightweight 2 season down quilt that won't break the bank. Alpkit out of stock and ideally need this within the next 2 weeks. Any recommendations please?

The Aegismax stuff on Aliexpress is really good. They do a red quilt which isn't super thick but probably warmer than the Alpkit one. You might be chancing it time wise, but I ordered a sleeping bag from them last year and it arrived within about 10 days.

I have a UK Hammocks one which is great but I don’t think you’ll get one in time. Cumulus seems to be the usual recommendation. I know lots who swear by them.

Cumulus do seem to be popular and have good resale value. Depend by what you mean as 'quilt' too. And 'value'. So many questions...

Anyway:

Steezysix what did you think of the sleeping bag

I'm super happy with it. I got the M2 bag, originally the regular length but at 6'1" it was just a couple of inches too short for me. So my girlfriend got that one, and I ordered the large which is a much better fit, longer and wider. The foot box is nice and roomy in the large, the regular is a lot more fitted, but not crazy tight.

I usually use it like a quilt in my hammock, and I like the half zip design. The temperature rating is probably opimistic, they quote -2 deg comfort but for me it's good down to about 3-5 deg before I have to start wearing thermals to sleep comfortably, also there is no hood which means I always sleep in a hat/balaclava.

Hope that helps!

Cheers I’d looked at the G2 in long length, if the temp is optimistic then should suit

2 season quilt? Cumulus 150, I used mine as a wrapper to a two season bag this weekend in Scotland and was toasty warm. I'm 5' 11" and that's about the maximum height for the standard items but you can get custom ones with extra segments direct from Cumulus. It used to be that you couldn't get them direct in the UK but backcountry.scot now do them. If Andy's out of stock then I've got both ours (my 150 & my wife's 350) from  https://www.outdoorline.sk/en/

Another vote for Cumulus. I’ve a 250 and it’s spotty Dog IMHO..
