Not too bothered by cost, to a degree, but more than £120 ish is going to grate - they're going to be used on and off road.

I've heard that Assos are the bees knees, especially the T Mille versions - but I'm open to suggestions please 🙂

Get 2 pairs of DHB Aeron 3/4 bibs for that money. Comfy and good quality, as long as you don't mind not having a 'label'.

Something with a Cytech pad in it I reckon.

I do like the pads in the Rose own brand bibs and shorts too though. Cheap, but don't feel like it!

If your buying 3/4 or tights, Don't buy them with a pad so you can wear Lycra bibs or shorts under them.......or they'll be forever in the wash

Do you only wash your shorts then Trailmoggy? Bet that gets a bit smelly.

3/4 a pretty pointless IMO. Get some Giordana tights. £50 and above, all decent and well made with a good fit.

Second the dhb.

Have the cytech pad and are well priced.

Comfiest shorts I've had by quite some way

Losso. Excellent quality and very comfy, I find them better than the Assos I had before.

I don't wash them every time I go out if they do not have a pad, its only the pad that needs washing

I go out three times a week in winter so I can't afford to buy three pairs of nalini tights at £70 a pop

I rate these which I put a couple of thousand miles on last summer for £90:

No bottom issues in these or the Attaque from higher up the range in 4,000 miles in 2 months.

Maybe add knee/leg warmers from the same source for winter?

Not tried the Craft shorts but used other stuff from the range and it has all been excellent.

Bit of a curveball but Twin Six… I've ridden a fair distance in them from time to time with no grumbles

My new Endura MT500 are suiting me at the moment, both on and off road.

Also still like my 3+ year old Gore Bike Wear shorts.

The Gore Alp-X bibs are great...a decent pad and a lot harder wearing than other bibs I've tried.
