Off up to Glentress / Inners on friday, but a few of us are staying up 'till the wednesday.

Any advice on routes around Scotland? (we plan on a bit of driving)

Currently we have THE Torridon route on the cards, and devils staircase in fort bill.

Any other suggestions would be welcome. We all like super techy singletrack, big views and mucho swoopyness!

Also, if bad weather comes in we have Laggan on the cards, worth a visit?

All pretty rubbish...best stay south...

BUT if you insist ....Golspie and Balblair...same day and 100% worth the drive. Laggan is great and if you like rocky tech you will enjoy the black.Cairngorms...pop in to Bothy Bikes Aviemore and speak to the guy's in the shop for some tips on where to find the sweet single track.

Enjoy!

Torridon definitely up there with my favourite routes in Scotland, along with Glen Sligachan on Skye. Luckily they're quite close to one another. And Laggan is definitely worth a visit.

not wanting to be smart, but the devil's staircase is 20 odd miles short of FW, if you are going to do it, park at altnafeadh, push up devil's staircase (30 mins) do the better natural downhill towards kinlockleven, but stop when you hit the fire road, turn back and push up what you've just come down then come down the devil's staircase
if you go into kinlochleven you have a big fire road push up, which is a waste imho

Ben Lomond was highlight of our recent trip north smidge should have calmed down a bit by now too. Ciaran trail good too (Blackwater reservoir to Kinlochleven) and can be combined with the Devil Staircase. There are some great trails in Scolty Woods in Banchory, try to get a local to show you round (or Strava)

have fun!

Tweedlove ride in Peebles on Sunday?

2nd the comments about the Devils' Staircase - I rode Kingshouse to FW and back recently, the descent into Kinlochleven from either side is fun.

Bit of a short route and you are immediately doubling back on what you've just done. And pushing up the access track - what's that all about? I'd definitely go down into KLL but not via the access road (see conduit / blackwater dam / ciaran path) Then you have the option of back up the access track or out further afield to Loch Trieg et al. Lot of options there - depends on how big you want to go;-)
