What's the best thing to use, same as for a steel/Alu or something finer?
Fine and not brand new ideally - slightly blunter is better.

Park do a proper carbon hacksaw blade for £10
.....but the cutting material crusted on the blade makes it so fat that it doesn't fit in the slot of the Park Tools cutting guide.
A standard fine-bladed large hacksaw blade does though and a BRAND NEW blade cuts quickly and cleanly. Finish with wet 'n dry or wire wool.
