Never stayed close to Coed-y-Brenin, always stayed near the Marin trail or near abouts.
Anyone got any good recommendations? Will be for me on my own for a few nights.

I always stay at Heulwenguesthouse in Llanfachreth, about 5min drive from the centre. Lovely people, great place to stay, use of the garage for bike storage, and excellent food.

There's a hostel in Trawsfynydd called Llys Edowain or something similar...please excuse my poor Welsh spelling!

We've stayed there quite a few times. It's looking a bit tired now, but it's a decent place to stay. <10 min drive from CyB.

We stayed here at Caegwyn Farm

They were very welcoming and had camping and b&b. Great facilities and good value.

Nice, a few options here already!
Thinking of going in the next couple of weeks, so might not be warm enough for camping as yet as I'm a wuss.

But thank you kindly for your responses thus far, feel free to add any others 🙂

Hi Antares,

If you click on accomodation and then pick a cottage. Click on the cottage calendar and the prices are on there. They are by the week, but if you email them they give you prices for weekends.
Last time we stayed was the May bank holiday weekend and it worked out to be £90 each for 4 of us for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
They have secure bike storage and plenty of parking space.
You can ride into the visitor centre pretty much off-road if you don't fancy riding the main road.

If there is a big group of you, 10 or more then the Rhiw Goch bunkhouse is excellent. Loads of parking and bike storage. You can cycle in to CyB via Sarn Helen it's about 5 miles if you go to the centre, you can join the MBR sooner.
There is a pub straight opposite.

Trawsfynydd Holiday Village is just 2 miles from Coed y Brenin. We have log cabins and the Rhiw Goch bunkhouse mentioned above,so no matter whether you're a big or small group we should have something to suit. Visit www.logcabinswales.co.uk or give us a call 01766 540555. Hope that helps
