Hiya folks,
About to build a set of new wheels but need to source spokes and need to calculate lengths. Is there a good trustworthy online spoke length calculator anyone knows about?
Also, where is the cheapest place to buy spokes these days? DB DT Swiss black ones?
Cheers
Paul
the spoke calculator on wheelpro is great.
Otherwise there is a full blown excel spreadsheet from sheldon brown (google it!)
sdeals.com are good for spokes, as are cyclebasket.com
Never fail to get what we require from "just riding along". Also very very helpful with advice.
rose bikes very cheap for spokes
OK I'm trying to use the spoke calculators but they are a bit confusing.
I need to build a Stans flow on to a 135mm rear pro11. Can anyone help with what sizes I should use?
Your time is much appreciated.
Paul
the wheel pro calculator has pre-defined values for those hubs - just click hubs at the top, and select your hub.
then put your rim ERD in in the Rim DIA section - this is listed on the stans website.
then click calculate
EDIT - ignore 'offset'
Sorted, spokes and nipples ordered from Rose bikes too.
Thanks for the help guys.
Paul
