I just got some from bike tart, it's much nicer than the eBay stuff I bought before, very clear and not too thick - bloody expensive though for what it is!

Not a fan of biketarts stuff, its a bit soft and looks shit after a while. no good for clamping in bike stands or car racks etc

Biketart. Tried the cheap stuff, it's cheap cos it's shite. And it's not expensive, 30 quid to do a frame isn't expensive.

Edit - you've done something wrong with it Sean, I've had it on 4 bikes now, and have none of the issues you have.

clamps on racks tend to pull it around the frame? its got holes in it now from few rides on the back of a car. I hang my bike in the garage on a bike hanger and even thats ruckered the tape

Possible you got a bad lot then mate. Did you give it the hair dryer?

Invisiframe, keep using it, keep recommending it , nothing better and if you have a £1500 frame seems like a small investment to preserve it.
The tailored kits are really well executed.

This stuff seems great and was good value.

Thick and has stayed stuck. I used a hair dryer to make certain.

we buy this in bulk from a company

costs about
£10 for 2m of the 25mm wide stuff
£10 for 1.5m of the 50mm wide stuff
£15 for 1.5m of the 100mm wide stuff

if you can buy it in 25m rolls and split it with a load of buddies group buy etc we had quotes of 33 quid for the wide stuff ,bloody ridiculous its only polyurethane tape

Been buying it from Bike start for years without any complaints but the last lot I bought a few months ago was cheaper quality. So we ended up buying some 3M tape from eBay and it's great quality. But I still recommend the kits from www.invisiframe.co.uk. Is £50 that much to protect several grands worth of bike?

I bought proper 3m stuff off eBay for £11 that has done 2 bikes and it practically covered every inch of the bikes. It is thick compared to invisitape etc but lasting really really well without any discolouring. Its especially good on the downtubes.

yes by a long long long way here is the 3m tape sold to industry by non ripoff non snake oil merchants

http://www.vikingtapes.co.uk/c-682-bike-protection-tape-3m-8671hs.aspx#.U8JCoPldV-4n

enough to easily do 3 bikes which is about 10 quid each
