Is there a general go to place like superstar is for disc brake pads for a lot of people, somewhere similar for road brake pads where you can buy a coupld of sets at once for a discount?

You'll want Kool-Stop pads.

CRC seems to be cheapest - they're great pads.

Got my Kool Stop salmons when ordering some bits from Bike Components.de - very reasonably priced and brilliant pads.

I got the triple compound ones from SuperStar - found them to be really really good on the tourer.

Ribble are always good.

Having said that I bought some cheap ebay specials. 4 pairs for £8. They are "ok" but haven't lasted that long, probably done 1,000 miles and they are half worn. My old Shimanos lasted 8,000 miles.

So in future i'll just buy Shimano.
