looks like i need:
16 @ 264mm
48 @ 266mm
with 12mm nipples
DT Swiss competitions in black is my initial choice.
http://www.mcconveycycles.com have them at £0.50 each (£32) - but no stock, CRC are £54 and SJS £51
any other options?
