Trying to help my brother out who despite his best efforts is struggling with tyre removal and re installation .
His tyre/rim combo to be fair is very tight and I have already removed the rim strip and taped it to deepen the well a little .Also sprayed a little silicone to assist but the fit is still extremely tight . He also runs tubes and I am soon to install a liner as well which will make things worse I'd imagine . He wouldn't cope with possible tubeless issues and needs the best puncture resistant set up which I decided would be the tannus with a slime inner tube.
Tyre size is 27.5 x 3.00 on 35/40mm rims .
Any suggestions re a lever that would make things easier ?
I personally had to use a single pedros + toe straps to get the offenders fitted despite having a fairly good manual technique.
Var and Kool stop tyre bead jack seem to get good reviews but I'm unsure whether they'd cope with the wide tyres/rims ?
Any tips /advice /suggestion much appreciated
thanks in advance
Bill
