Just had a quote from cycleguard via leisure lakes but I could insure my motorcycle for less.

Does anyone insure their bike from theft?

Get it through your home insurance* is usually the best bet. Depending on the value, it may be covered anyway.

*I'm making an assumption here that you already have a policy, or someone in your house does that you could put it on.

Yes me and the missus have house content insurance but my 2 bikes are worth over £3000. I commute on one of them and want to make sure it's covered if stolen from works bike shed.

So check the wording on your home insurance...

M&S were traditionally the best, less so now, check out NFU, Direct Line Plus and the AA.

+1 for the AA, can't remember the exact wording but included items away from the home and no need to specify specific items
