Hi all,

A friend is looking for as good a xc 29er hardtail as he can get for around a grand. Im not too up on this end of the market, does anyone know of any bargains.

Use would be long days out in big hills, but not mega technical. More emphasis on climbing efficiency and comfort than slack angled gnar smashing ability

Cheers

I went for the Boardman Pro 29er, but it was 20% off then another 10% BC discount...

Still hard to beat for a grand TBH.

Always difficult as there are massive differences between models, but I would have this on my demo list:

Just got a Genesis Tarn 29 from Cyclegear. Great deal at £1099.

Thanks all.

Like the look of those, personally I think the genesis looks the best on paper, nice modern geometry, but I'll pass those all over to him
