Hi all,
New frame has internal cabling, so want to get decent cables I can so I don't have to go through the hassle of replacing them too often.
Running 1x10 so just need rear one. Runs a full outer. Looking for inner and outer of course.
Any recommendations?
Worth getting those with an inner plastic tubing (Flying Snakes?)?
Ta, Duane.
Shimano SP41 outer and Fibrax teflon coated inners.
When the Teflon coating wears off they're no good, no?
Another vote for sp41 outer, not too fussy with my inners but outers need to be good quality.
Any stainless steel inner is better than galvanized. Last much longer and a nice shift.
SP41 plus any old shite for inners as it's full-length
I always put extra grease - thin stuff like M-Prep fork grease - in the outer too
No, I've found them to still be good, but it takes a long time to wear off IME. They're a standard stainless steel cable underneath afterall.Duane... - Member

Right, sounds pretty promising for the SP41, cheers. And a SS inner.
Just out of interest is it possible to buy sp41 by the meter, that actually has "shimano sp41" printed on it?
teflon coated and SP41, anything else is wasting money
Make sure you get Shimano PTFE cables, they are much smoother than say clarks.
