Hi all,

I've just donated my hardtail to one of my lads, as he'd outgrown his bike, and the frame on mine was really a little too small for me, and we've just discovered a bit of a problem!

The bike has a Thompson Elite dropper post. The post itself is lovely, but the remote really takes a lot of pressure to get the seat to drop, and my lad really struggles with it, and ended up stacking the bike as a result last time we were out.

Could anyone recommend a (preferably cheap!) alternative remote lever we could fit that would be easier for him to operate? It needs to go with a 2x setup on the bars, and the actuator on the post is at the top under the saddle if that makes a difference.

Best one would be a wolf tooth light action which is designed to make it easier. It’s designed for 1x though so not sure how you’d make it work.

One of the remotes offers two pull versions depending on what post you have. It might be the wolftooth one. Not cheap itself but maybe using their table you could work out a stock one that may do what you need.

I have arthritic thumbs and struggle with some remotes. I now have Wolftooth LA ones on both dropper equipped bikes and find them great. Expensive mind you..
