Need to ship my frame back for warranty. Any recommendations for best courier to use, or just take it to the PO?

Cheers!

I posted one last week using Parcel Force - was about £28 (48hr service, £400 insurance and collection from my doorstep). Other than not getting a delivery confirmation text it was all very efficient.

+1 for paisley

Don't take.it to the PO - do an online comparison for the exact size of box/weight & insurance value.

I used Paisley for a 20" bike and had no issues at all. Recommend.

I would avoid Paisley (and sister company bikedelivery.co.uk) I ended up taking them to court, although they backed down and settled the day before the hearing, after making the process as needlessly complicated as they could, still never got an apology from them, just lies. Right bunch of cowboys.

You’ve mentioned this a few times, what was the issue?

I’ve used them about a dozen times, perfect each time.

I’ve always used Parcel Force, costs about £12 IME. Always been fine (except one time when I used a drop-off point at a tiny corner shop, where the shopkeeper got a bit humpty about the size of the box).

My problem was a booked collection for which they repeatedly didn't turn up,no contact from them, no nothing. Rescheduled several times and still nothing. People at both ends, collection/delivery taking time off work, just a general nuisance.
Had they apologised and refund me I might have let it go, but instead they just tried to fob me off and lied repeatedly on the telephone so I ended up invoicing them for all the wasted time from the days off work, and then issuing a smalls claim against them when they didn't even acknowledge that. They backed down and paid too
.
I always mention it whenever anyone asks about courtiers, just trying to cost them business if I can, I'm still really pissed off at them. Likewise Silverfish who are a PITA. Conversely I also come on here and say how great Marin and Hope's warranty support are, I do tell the positives as well.
People like the OP ask for real world experiences, if it's something I've had an experience of, good or bad, I'll say what mine was and recommend or not accordingly.
Do buy a Marin but don't have it shipped by Paisley 😁

They are all as bad as each other, I use hermes because they are the cheapest. Just heck the box size and make sure you insure the value.

I've used Paisley Freight at least 20 times and also perfect each time. Recently sold a £1300 frame requiring postage, they were cheapest when full value insurance taken into account.

Nice one wzzzz, I've just posted a wheel with them for £9.76, plus I already use quidco so I'll get 8% of that back in a few weeks, bargain! Didn't know PF were on there
It's this if anyone else wants to have a look https://www.quidco.com/raf/10611715/

I've had issues with Paisley Freight. I used them to ship a set of Alloy wheels, fully insured. They lost 1 and would then only pay 1/4 of the compensation and that after MONTHS of refusing to pay anything. They simply wouldn't accept that the value of 3 wheels is not the same as a set or that a partial loss of a shipment constituted a failure to fulfil their contract.

ParcelForce have always been fine for me, 24h service, fully insured. no problems.
