https://www.paisleyfreight.com/bike-courier   - used them a few times. Even with a poorly packaged bike, wrapped in makeshift bits of boxes and tape, they delivered without issue.

I've used Parcel Force (dropping off at a post office) via this lot-

https://www.postagesupermarket.com/

a few times to send frames and bikes. It costs between 10 and 20 quid depending on the weight/size but it's worth paying for a proper* courier rather than Herpes or Yodhell, it really is.

* I know there'll be horror stories about PF as well, but I've never had anything go astray when I've used them (yet).

Used paisley quite a few times with no issues. Costs about £25 but I'm not sure what sort of insurance cover that cost includes.

+1 for Paisley freight. Used several times with no issues.

You could send it parcel force. It would be a parcel force 'large' parcel. If you do, book it online first, as it's cheaper than going to you post office - you'd also need a po thats sends 'large' parcels which are pretty rare (I do in mine). It's about 24quid if you send it the 48hr service through a Postoffice (based on a 15kg box).

One thing to watch is the insurance cover - last time I used ParcelForce it was over £40 with the correct level of cover ~£500 iirc

Used paisley freight and had no issues at all, bike arrived safe and sound. Grab a bike box from Halfords if you don’t have a mate with one.

+1 for Paisley freight.

My first choice for sending large/bulky items.

Have previously sent bicycles, guitars, set of 4 alloy road wheels.

Get a large bike box from Halfrauds or LBS.

Remove front wheel, turn bars, remove pedals and cable tie onto frame.

Try to get a look at how a new bike is actually packed.

Ive just picked up a bike box but think ill have to cut it down a lot, way over the size requirements for paisly. Looks like about £60 to post fully insured. Doesn't seem too bad really!
