Tried Fenwicks but it just doesn't do a good enough job IMO. Muc Off better?

Water, good soft brush, baby wipes (for the hard to reach areas)

Can add washing up liquid to water if needed, very low salt content, dosent do any damage to the bike

I dilute mine around 50/50 and haven't had a problem with brakes  .

Traffic film remover from eBay.

Even comes in pink so you can pretend you've got muck off.

I mean you have, it's probably the same stuff.

are all these ok discs and brakes etc? Im tempted to get some and dilute it down, or are my brakes gonna be squealing like mad as soon as I wash it?

Just use some elbow grease.

No, seriously... Elbow grease 😁

£1 a bottle, at most.

no chance. TFR + water + Marketing = 10,000 % markup.

TFR from detailing place online or eBay / local car place. Mix as directed (usually 10:1 or 100:1 depending on what you buy.)

same as muc off but 99% discount. 👍

Muc off's good, but a barrel of that traffic film cleaner would be just the job for the bikes, van and car.

I’ve been using the Guy Martin tabs. Seems as good as the muc-off but environmentally much better. Just drop one in any old spray bottle and use tap water. Less plastics, less lorries driving diluted cleaner about.

I’ve been using dirt magic off eBay for a couple of years.   Same as mucoff but 25 litres for just over 20 quid delivered.

What do you need to degrease? How much grease is free-ranging on your bike?

I use wax based lube on the chain and a wee lube on the shock/fork seals if required. There is nothing there that a bucket of water with a splash of carwax shampoo stuff wont shift with a soft brush. I'm using Aldi carnuba stuff.

Washing up liquid, cheap as ****

This. But diluted with HOT water and used with a decent brush. Easy peasy.
If you need anything stronger (like degreaser) it's usually because you've not kept on top of cleaning the bike/component in the first place and ended up with stuborn oil/sludge engrained parts.

Another household product that's ****ing awesome for cleaning the shiny bits to a proper sparkle is Cif bathroom mousse. After cleaning, Simply spray it liberally over your entire drivetrain and any other shiny metal bits like mechs plates etc.. leave for a few minutes until the foam melts back to liquid and hose off.
Great for using to take pics or present your bike for sale.

another vote for Rhino Goo, great cleaner and don't need much - though the fluoro colour is a bit off putting!

Poundland "no more dirty bike"

I'm terminally lazy when it comes to cleaning my bike, putoline on the chain, chainsaw oil if I don't remember. The poundland stuff gets rid of the chainsaw oil and rain dals with the rest of the frame every few rides away.

I have used Muc-off, Rhino goo and Proper cleaner

Muc-off = too expensive but effective

Rhino goo = effective, cheap and good quantities. Also really good at cleaning alloys on my car.

Proper cleaner = not as effective as the others, could do with making it up stronger. Too expensive considering the lack of packaging and transport costs.
