Anyone have any suggestions for a tow rope to get, it's getting close to taking the little girl over to places like FoD, so having one would be good, may also use it for towing others when out on the ebike, so any recommendations, i tried searching but looking for towwhee or tow brings up the adverts on posts.

Been using a Towwhee for a few months now, highly recommended, works exactly like it should. Dunno what more to say, it's good!

Made my own for about 12 quid.
Tubular climbing tape, and shock cord inside. Works brilliantly!
Which is more than can be said for my dead Grandma's sewing machine, which I had to do quite a lot of fixing of after trying to sew the shock cord into the tape...

I got a towwhee, heftyprice for what it is but it really works well, just the right amount of elasticity not to pull your child off the bike round switch backs (most of the time!)

My mate uses a Towwhee to tow me up the hills when he's on his e-bike.

A friend of mine tows his boy up the hills with his e-bike using a couple of inner tubes tied together.

I've been looking at these for future kid towing, but unsure if they'd be much good - elasticity, etc will be very different to the ratings for a Towhee I imagine. Quite a bit cheaper:

I use a bit of 5mm rope with a length of shock cord tied into it every foot or so. Reduces the jolt when starting and avoids it dropping into your rear wheel if it goes slack. Looks a bit ghetto but works very well.

Ive been using one of those blue and white boggo tow ropes with my 7 yr old, he manages fine with it. Looks hefty but is light enough to carry round when not in use.

Got one of these a while back (it was recommended on here the previous time the query came up), I only used it once but It worked well. Very light minimalist bit of kit. seems well made and a reasonable price at €40

And of course you can buy reusable cable ties to use with it if you're putting it on\off your bike regularly.

Max "recommended" towing cyclist weight is 90kgs so might not be suitable for towing adult (might not be too good for your motor either 🙂 )

Edit: Ignore that last comment
