I want a light/torch or whatever for attaching to my lid.

I don't even mind taping it to the lid as It's not going to get used all that much.

I've got a good handlebar mounted light, just looking for something to compliment it.

Nothing above £30 preferably!

You could cut a short section of inner tube, to make a loop to go round the torch. Plus another bit of inner tube underneath for padding.
This is what I use for attaching my Fenix, works fine.

Or, you could use a Two Fish Lockblock. Though this depends on the position of the vents on your helmet, and which way round they are. Also, this will make the torch a bit higher up, so increase the centre of gravity etc, and you notice the weight of it more. A bit annoying IME.
