Hi,
My chain is due for replacement on my 11 speed GX drivetrain.
Does any type of chain sit head and shoulders above the others? Or are they all pretty much the same?
Thanks Si

I don't have any Sram drivetrains but I'll use either Sram or KMC chains and not had a problem with either. I usually go for the ones around £15-£20.

I like KMC  EL or SL due to weight but yeah it doesn’t matter

Demon tweaks (and a few other places) have had Sram X1 11 speed chains for £20 recently. Both my bikes have sram gx 11 speed on and there’s now an X1 chain on both. So far so good.

Shimano or Sram it doesn't matter I just use KMC - never had any chain related problems and the shifting is fine and it means I just need one spare in the tool box.

I just use the cheapest SRAM 11 speed chain, about £12.

I use a KMC x11-93 with 11spd GX no issues whatsoever.

Just watch out for this happening:

apparently its not uncommon on most Sram types of chain according to the people who responded last time i posted that photo 🙂

Most of the sram chains that seem to get posted doing that are the pc1130 if I remember rightly. Is that pc1110 higher or lower spec than that?

I must be light on chains as I’ve never damaged a sram one, I don’t think I’ve damaged a Shimano one, but snapped a few KYC ones. I didn’t like how the Shimano one surfaced rusted so easily - but maybe it was low down their range.
