I recently picked up a Vitus Escarpe not dissimilar to the one reviewed here: https://singletrackmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/vitus-escarpe-29-crs-review/

As mentioned in the review (with better pictures than I could take) it has one of those natty accessory mounts under the top tube.

So, having spent an unearthly sum of money on a new bike, I want to make best use of it. What accessories have people mounted on these that you would recommend?

Not all that exciting but I have a nukeproof base + strap on mine which gets used to hold my light battery on night rides without rubbing the paintwork. The base stays permanently attached and the strap comes off completely unless I'm using the light.

https://76projects.com/collections/shop-on-bike-storage/products/littlepiggy

76 Projects do a mount that you can then put various items on. Like an enduro strap really but a bit neater

there's this one: https://bentleycomponents.co.uk/shop/p/mini-deck-strap-on-h6xam

and this/ese thing/s

https://daysaver.fun/product/original9-coworking5-cradle3/ which are expensive but lovely. I've got quite a few spending priorities ahead of "bike tools loveliness upgrades" before I'm getting involved, though!

I've got the Little Piggy with the zip case and I really like it. I prefer it to a strap because the stuff I need to touch with my cold hands like the tools, tube or tubeless repair kit won't be soaking wet and covered in mud.

Ooh that's a nice looking bike!

I've ditched my rucksack for most rides with a Piggy On that sits behind the bottle cage, and a Topeak racket tool on the top tube that comes in a natty box that has a QR boss mount. Caveat that though it is a lovely tool it's a bit of a faff if you just want to tighten something up trailside.

Oh, on the same bolts I've squeezed in a side mounted pump (think it's a Topeak race rocket) as well.
