Morning all, thinking about getting a trailer to carry the kids but they won’t be small for ever so ideally I’d like it to then be useful for carrying stuff. Any ideas?
I’ve got one of the 2 seat Aldi ones. So far I’ve mainly used it for foraging firewood. I’ve not been very far with the boy in it yet but it doesn’t look as comfy as some of the ones 10 times it’s price.
At the end of the day it cost me £50. If we start using it loads I’ll look at getting something better
We got the second newest Burley D'lite. Cost a little bit less than 10 times windydave's Aldi job! Decent discount from Parkers of bolton.
Most of our rides will be off road and from the door, and there's a speed limit on the way down if it's bumpy, so I'm glad we got one with suspension. I wouldn't bother if I was only using it on road, but off road, it will allow some extra speed over rougher trails and more comfort over longer trips.
And the seatback unclips and lays flat so you can use it as a cargo trailer too.
Buy our Chariot/Thule Cougar 2 ?
In Manchester.
2nd hand would be ideal. They last longer than kids are small if they're looked after. We kept an eye out for months on ebay, but the ones near us that came up were knackered or went for about what we paid for our Burley. Thules seem to hold their value particularly well.
In the end, spring came, we wanted one, so bought a new one. We'll get some money back 2nd hand when it's not being used anymore.
We've a Burley 2 small person trailer thingy. Is fairly old but looks like the D'Lite version.
Been cracking off road and on. Forgot we had it until this post.
Yours for £50 if you can collect (Huddersfield/Halifax).
Sadly I’m based down in Kent 🙁
