Hi all,

Looking for a simple stand to hold bikes up (so bars aren't scuffing walls).

Ideally will be suitable for 26" jump bike, 29" road/gravel bike, and 29" MTB.
Will be used on carpet and hard floor
Doesn't need to be suitable for using while working on bikes
Fold up/compact would be nice.

Few options I've seen that look ok:

Thanks!

I have one in the style of the first. It is good but I only store a mountain bike in it. Could be wobbly with a narrow road/gravel tyre.

The second one I don't have but was looking at those last week. Can be bolted down which might be useful and someone had used one in a van which sounded interesting.

The third one looks like it will be wobbly.

We have a couple of the first. Sturdy and hold the bikes upright

Rest of the bikes hang in the garage

If you hang about on the Tredz site they usually send a code for £5 off £30 which should work out cheaper if you are buying 2

^^^ I bought a few of those last month after a recommendation elsewhere, they are on eBay as GTB MTB stand. I am using them on 29er FS, skinny road bike and gravel and they work a treat.

I have the XLC one, happy with it for use on smoothish level surfaces including gravel car parks. It has no weight in the base so relies on the bike's weight, this means it's more stable with the rear wheel in it. If need be, you could bolt it to a piece of wood cut to fit, and fill it with concrete.

Thanks all, I'm assuming the 1st is more stable than the second as it has wider feet? Even though the second looks to clamp the wheel a little better

@normalman , got one for bike washing duties. Have home made versions for storing the bikes, Minoura one I've had a few years and its perfect for bike washing.
