Evening all

Looking for recommendations for a decent local bike shop in Tunbridge Wells area for bike servicing.

Many thanks

Had a good experience with Wildside Cycles. Only bought a bike from them and some other bits - not used them for servicing.

There's Everden cycles in Paddock Wood - not used them myself but they have a 'local' bike shop feel.

A bit further away, but Biketart in Breach, between Canterbury and Dover are reccomended - if you go on a Saturday they also do a decent shop ride every other week on Saturday mornings 😀

Go see Mike at the Veloworks, he’s ace. works out of a unit down near Southborough, pm me if you want the details.

Other option is velocipede cycles on Camden road, Chris and Jack are great guys and have plenty of stock.

BikeGoo in Jarvis Brook is where most of my mates go. 🙂

Do a Google search on Cycle-ops before you go there. If you're in Tun Wells and you go to velocipede be sure to pop into the Bicycle Bakery next door. The owner is a mountain biker and makes the best cakes and coffee.

Second vote for Mike at Veloworks

Bike Warehouse in Sevenoaks are also good - I have dropped a wheel in for truing, been sent away for a quick coffee for half an hour, and picked up without booking

Thanks all. Yes...re Cycle Ops. I have used that one previoulst but was looking for some other options.

Think I’ll try Mike first for servicing and then a bit of ‘research’ in the others 😉

The guy who used to own Cycleops Tonbridge retired a few years ago and a good thing too as he was pretty unpleasant. The lads who worked there bought the business and have put their heart and soul into the place. They're good guys, great mechanics and have become friends of mine over time. I go there for a chat most weeks and always buy my bike stuff from them. They've done me a ton of favours and will often sort out any issues with my bike for free after ridiculing me for my half arsed attempts at fettling first of course.
