OK, so technically it's a trike, but the smile on my boy's face when this was delivered earlier this week has given me a bigger new bike thrill than anything I've ever bought before 😀

Took him down the Manifold trail this afternoon too. I'm pleased and proud to report he enjoys breaking off the tarmac and heading into the lumps and bumps we call "off-road". It's a fixie too, so his backwards riding is coming on a treat too. Happy days indeed.

Brilliant that. What enjoying your bike is all about.

Think we have found the new niche.

Single speed, fat bike, belt drive, 29er, fixie, 650 blah, blah, blah.

3 small wheels are clearly the future of pure cycling enjoyment!

Can't remember the last time I rode my bike and it made me THAT happy.

My boys and I met a little boy on the same bike yesterday, he had a big smile on his face too. His grandparents weren't too happy at having to push him up the cobbley hill so he could whizz back down with my 2 though 🙂

Top stuff!!

Mrs and I just watched this together, excellent stuff!

Our 6 year old daughter has special needs and would probably be grinning just as much if we got her one of these. Can you post a link to the manufacturer / supplier?

To those who were wondering where we got this bike from, it's a company called Theraplay, but there are a handful of other companies too. There are many options for customisation so will appeal to most of you lot on here 🙂

The frame bolts together by hand and we bought an additional attachment to allow it to be used as a tag-a-long bike too. Calipers, pedal platforms, back supports etc are all optional extras. To any of you parents with disabled children thinking of spending some money on bikes, you'll be unsurprised by my recommendation to spend it on one of these 😀

[EDIT] Here's my original post asking for recommendations for trikes clicky

On tonight's ride James learnt that whilst riding a trike on two wheels is fun, those two wheels aren't guaranteed to return to solid ground 😳 🙂

Laughing. Laughing HARD! Am sure James would understand! (At least, I hope he does...!)

But, once again, it's a little dusty here at Flash Towers!

It's that enjoyment that we all spend £000's on to try to recreate (well, I do!)

So lovely to see a kid having that much fun.

You should send Theraplay a link to your video so they can use it to replace the one on their page that doesn't work. 😉
