Ok, so had quite an eventful couple of months:
August: purchased new fs 650b bike
August: then lost job
September: sold newly purchased bike as assumed it would take a while to find new job
September: new job found
September: After getting new job decided to treat myself to new bike.
This time however I think I want to stick to a 29er. I have a HT Ramin 5 and would like a fs suspension to compliment it. Am tempted by the jeffsy but just think that would be too much bike for my mostly trail centre riding, then start thinking about a bike with shorter travel, but concerned this won't be different enough to current bike, and also think my back may appreciate something with longer travel.
Anyway, after looking at lots of options, the radon slide seems to offer a decent package at a competitive price, but frustratingly cant find many reviews on it.
Basically looking for any feedback from owners of the bike, or any comments on the spec...good/bad etc.
Obviously the sensible thing to do is bide my time and do more research...but patience isn't a strong point and really want to hit the buy now button on something.
Any help appreciated,
Cheers
I got a Radon Slide 130 29er last summer. It's an excellent bike for me and I've used it for all sorts. It has seen me through twice weekly winter rides in the Scottish muck. Rides with the kids. Visits to various trail centres and a WHW in a day attempt a couple of weeks ago. After 15 months the only creaking bit is the headset so I can't really complain.
I'd definitely look at buying the same again as it was superb value for money although I don't know if the changes in exchange rate after Brexit have made them less attractive in terms of price. The paintwork has suffered a bit from being strapped to the car but although I'm keen to maintain my bikes I'm not to precious about what they look like.
Can't help with your specific question but.....Radon have a good name; I have one of their road bikes - all good, well specc'd and good value for money.
Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
