Whats a good cheap alternative to using some sort of GPS device to map rides and then upload to Strava? Seen some Garmin edge 200, can you upload your rides to strava with these sorts of devices? Just want an alternative to using expensive smart phone. Sure I read some where that these sorts of devices give a more accurate reading?
A map?
I think you can only upload to strava via a laptop if you use an edge 200. I have a forerunner and I need one.
Easy to do, just you can't do it whilst still out on your ride
Why not just get a cheap smartphone for riding with?

Not to worried about not uploading on the go.
You still need a some sort of data contract do you not? I don't want two phones. Why not just get a cheap smartphone for riding with?
Only uses gps when riding so no data except downloading/uploading so a cheap android phone should work fine
Surely you could get a Garmin cheaper then an Android?

£40 Android phone. No need for data, contract, etc. Just use it as a GPS and upload the files on WiFi at home or in the pub. Loads of free mapping options available.
