I'm planning on using my current rims as donors for a wheel build. Unfortunately they have a slight wobble in them at present - my question is would they be ok to use, or do you need dead straight rims to get even spoke tension?
Thanks

I'd check once they're unlaced if there's more than a little run out on them then I'd be wary of using them in a new build - you won;t have even spoke tension from the off.

depends on whether the wobble is the rim or the wheel [ spokes]
as they say check when unlaced on a flat surface
