Bent cassette sprockets?

Had a strange crash not long after I got this bike which resulted in the outer plates of some chain links being weirdly bent (I started a thread at the time) so there must've been some sort of impact in the cassette area or force on the chain.  I fixed that but since then there has always been clickety noises in the top few gears no matter what I do to the indexing.  Just put it on the stand now and using my mech alignment tool the top few sprockets are well out of true - 1mm or a bit more, going by eye.  Is this a thing?  Has anyone else had this happen?  Looks like I will be able to bend them back with an adjustable or some molgrips.

Yeh I had one whole sprocket that was bent in towards another. Took me ages to realise what the gear skipping issues was.

I couldn't straighten it so had to bin the cassette, or just put up with having two gears not working and having to jump them.

Not sure how I managed to bend it.

Tandem teams used to just bend the big ones under power so certainly a thing

See my other thread re wobbly cassette out of the box...? Obv the top/bigger rings will exaggerate any variance so it maybe that the whole thing is bent... 🤷‍♂️

Smaller ones ride fine, and appear straight.  But of course, even if the whole lot were out I'd see less deflection in the sprocket. Time to get the dial indicator out.

It would also explain why the shifting is better at some points than others. Depends at what point on the circle I hit the shifter. It's nearly new and 12sp cassettes ain't cheap so I'll try and bend it back.

Sounds like a bent sprocket but worth double checking before you start counterbending it because a bent freewheel or axle can also cause a cassette wobble.

I’ve had this too. Tried a punch on individual teeth I think.

But congratulations for getting your username into a thread in this way.
