Looks like I might get some time on the bike tomorrow and I was thinking of going back to Bennachie so I'm looking for some recommendations. I've been a few times before but not for a couple of years so if you've got any trails there abouts that are worth a look and are easy to find on the likes of trailforks or strava fire away. The other option is that I could head over the hill to Pitfichie and see what I can find there but I do fancy a return to Bennachie.

Any pointers more than welcome

I guess trail forks is a good reference but also depends what level your looking for
Blackpine at the back of Pittodrie house is gone now due to harvesting. I would reckon Roy's reach around might be gone also.
"The Line" is good but its a big climb up for a very fast decent and there's not much else around
The best 2 trails are Dalau Lama and Hindu kush which are reasonably full on descents. These trails are either side of the same burn with a reasonable climb back up so plenty to keep you occupied. Someone has put something in that drops into the Dalau Lama from the Gordon Way. I've heard that its hard. Its on Trail Forks anyway.
There has been lots of work done on the Pitfichie trails so they're riding really good...however. Forestry are working at the Whitehills end of the hill so access is restricted until 7pm on weekdays. So you'll have to ride from the Downhills carpark near Monymusk.

Cheers for that, I'll give them a look up. Last time I was at Pitfichie the devils staircase was pretty overgrown near the top so its good that they've been working on the trails.

I should point out that the trails work is done by https://www.aberdeenshiretrail.org/ who are volunteers backed by the forestry. Get involved if you can.
