Up from Callander end and down the Stank Glen or vice versa? I like the idea of a round route rather than there and back but I'll bend to the wisdom of stw.

Round the back and then down towards Callendar is the better descent

Edit: this was my route, as mentioned before, more rideable this way round. Great descent though https://www.strava.com/activities/204930218

Be prepared to walk a few sections if you are a mincer, back down.
But Stank is not much easier in some places, but is more rideable.

Loop I was shown was up round the back (hike-a-bike) then over the front and down but you can double back up and come down the Stank too ('cept I was too far gone by that point)

Want to go back and give it another go tho

Thanks folks. "Round the back" - I was taking to mean Stank Glen but it looks like you mean from Glen Finglas Reservoir. I was wondering if that path was a goer.

We went up Stank and down the other side last month but looking at it now I think youll get more bang for your buck going up other side and down Stank Glen, still enjoyed it though either way 😀
