What is the best route for doing Ben Lawyers by bike? Ben Lawyers summit then head west? Any routes off the back to Glen Lyon?

Also, has anyone done the Tarmachan Ridge by bike? I recall a small amount of scrambling but some potentially decent if a bit broken up riding.

Cheers

Sanny

Did it anti-clockwise back in the day.

What's the deal with the incredibly rare and fragile eco-system that stopped cycling up there for a bit while walkers trampled all over it?

No idea about the fragile environment but there is a muckle great footpath along the tops. I reckon sticking to that shouldn't cause any environmental damage.

Did you take in An Stuc as well?

Cheers

Sanny, I'm local to there and do a regular ride on the south side of Lawyers. Got the summit trip all planned - would have done it last year but for the weather and various commitments.

Be very careful Sanny; I met the Captain in Glen Tilt a couple of years back while out with my DoE. I think he had just nipped to Shetland for some groceries...

There is a section descending from Lawers to the col heading to Beinn Glas that i reckon is carrying, the descent off Glas would be all doable, an absolute gripping rocky horror show in a good way i would imagine, walked it with the wee man last summer to recce, have not got around to giving it a go yet.

Would be a serious technical challenge that way, look forward to the photo's .
