Looking for some advice for a biking weekend, was looking for a mountain day and then something a little less for the Sunday. I was thinking Ben Lawers/Beinn Ghlass and then a ride at Dunkeld.
Does anyone have any advice/suggestions, maybe even a gpx?
Would the above make a good weekend biking?
Cheers.
At Dunkeld there is the loch ordie / Loch Oiseanneach circuit which is nice and not too strenuous.
Both are very good days out, as tjagain says there is a nice mellow route round Loch Ordie if Bienn Ghlas has wiped you out. Or there are many trails that are pretty easy to get to. I don't have a gpx to hand but everything is on trailforks. Most are pretty full on but amazing.
I have only done Ben Lawers once and i did it as s loop. We didnt get to the top as it was blowing a hoolie. Only advice i would give is go early, or late to avoid walkers. Its a very very busy hill.
You'll need skis and skins for Lawers/Ghlas at the moment. Dunkeld has multiple possibilities. Look at Strava or Trailforks.
Cheer guys, it's not till later in year so should be ok.
chay drop me a line nearer the time. I ride at Dunkeld a lot and happy to show you round if i am free.
Cheers mate, it's not till Oct, trying to organise guys biking weekends needs to be way in advance 😀 but I will drop you a line, cheers mate.
