Personally I think he needs as much public humiliation as possible, I'm happy to help open up eyes! Oh, easy to find his telephone number: 07967595020
I am amazed I don't recognise either him or the van .
Especially as Mark Green Avery does the best disco and sound and light show this side of uuuuummmmmm , a school disco from 1982.
Will 'keep em peeled' when on my travels though. Oh yes.
Anyone want a spread bet for how long it takes this thread to be closed. my money is on 0835 - 0910 Friday morning.

Would be very wrong of people to post heavy items to him as he'd have to pay for the postage, and he's obviously a decent and hard-working person.
Info@markgreendisco.com
Be terrible if his inbox got spammed with gay pron.
Think he may fancy a few pizzas and a dial a drink order too
@wrecker: sorted, he's got mail.
Now, now chaps!
Can't let this get out of hand. Perhaps Mark should be given the opportunity to present his case and apologise?
I'm sorry, but:
PJM - Been calling him all night but he won't explain. 😉
This Disco everyone is talking about - is it the Mark Green Disco?
Hover the mouse over the word gallery on the disco gallery bit. Can someone please ring him and tell him the problem please. 😀

''Be terrible if his inbox got spammed with gay pron.''
Yeah, cos, anything gay is like, really awfull.
Is that what you're insinuating, wrecker?
It is 2012 you know, not the 1950s when it wasn't legal, and it's not immoral either.
Anyway, back to the thread...
Behave yourself Tim. FFS.
Going by the law of averages, he's probably straight. Judging by his terrible attitude, he's probable a homophobe too. If my assumptions are correct (and they may not be buy hey) I bet that he'd be more offended by images of homosexual pron than some hetero flavour pron. do not assume that because I mention gay pron as something that someone might not like that I'm a homophobe. That would be a mistake.
So, should I book Mark Green Disco or not for the local MTB club disco?
My appologies wrecker. 🙂
No probs Tim.
Have a smiley 😀

Would be beautiful to let him set up on stage, open the curtains and find the venue filled with blokes on bikes with cameras on their helmets silently staring up at him.
Or a room filled with bikes but no people.
Sending my yellow pages to him! whoops I,ve forgotten something
Mark has also worked in Germany, France, USA, Turkey and Thailand
An eclectic mix, for sure.

I thought this was one of those magic eye pics, I was staring at it hoping to see some retro schnizzle from the Mark Green Disco, but all I saw was some dangerous driving from a fat git in a scabby van... ho hum...
Where has the video gone?
Vids been taken down, quick google cant find it, hopefully it'll be back up somewhere soon. Wonder if he'll try threatening stw towers to take this down
i dont unnerstand why youtube etc would take it down .. its not like the bloke said he'd look forward to seeing his marvellous behaviour there?
the lardmeister does give a kcuf really !
The Mark Green Disco and Karaoke website of Portsmouth is amazing. Haven't seen anything like that since Geocities. Shame Mark Green Disco, or Avery, or whatever his Karaoke chuffin' name is, is an utter bell.
Above seems to work. Proper tool
Ooooh, the vimeo link is down. Something's afoot here.
I wonder what?
Also, the Mark Green Disco of Portsmouth's dangerous driving is no longer top of the google search results.
I'm going to take legal action against his website since I now have epilepsy induced by flashing lights...
Oh, that Mark Green, from Portsmouth, Disco menace...
reckon he's never had so much publicity-- in fact he hasn't time to answer his texts or phone for prospective 'business'
I used to know a DJ Mark Avery too.
He wasn't a dangerous driver though and he didn't look like he would have had a heart attack if he had to lift his chubby arms to throw a punch.
Oh no, remembered it wrong it was Mark Green. He really was a dangerous driver. He drove a Disco.
@Taff:
Yes I really did email him.
Lets all email him but keep it clean and don't stoop to his Turkey Smuggling level!
house number, mobile number, email, address.
Mark Green disco Portsmouth! oh dear face palm!
😆
From his website
Mark Green is one of the most popular personality DJ`s in the Hampshire area. He has been in the business for over twenty years working at venues throughout the United Kingdom. Mark is always reliable, smartly presented with a professional approach and friendly manner. This has ensured that Mark always has a busy date sheet with numerous re-bookings undertaken
You know when you get those days that go from bad to worse...
Unbelievable.
ive been trying to get hold of Mark, to book a disco. He doesn't seem to answer the phone. 😆
Vimeo vids have download links, you know, just in case a vid you like disappears...
he's getting around though.. even Portsmouth footie fans are on to him..
Top google result for me..

Total knob, sadly lots of people like him in the world, full marks for the cyclist.
he represents everything that is wrong in Britain today
maybe send the video to http://upload.news.bbc.cs.streamuk.com/
Mark Green disco`s Portsmouth you say? The dangerous driver?(allegedly)see ,I covered that angle there .Who would want Mark Green discos to do their party?
Appears to be back on YouTube:
And with an interesting comment from the original victim:
I reported via 101 on 01/11/2012 and had a very positive meeting with a policewoman who came over to my house this morning to take a statement and a copy of the video. I won't go into any more detail now as it may affect? further proceedings, but I will update when I can.
😆
The rider seems to attract these charming drivers -
I must say, Portsmouth looks absolutely delightful.
Remind me to never go there.
"I'll get out and knock you out"
Erm, you are out and you don't actually seem to be doing much. All fart and no poo these people.
The rider seems to attract these charming drivers -
I wouldn't have even bothered stopping in that instance. Although I probably would have ****ted his wing mirror "accidentally".
What I don't understand is that in both those videos the drivers are in the wrong*, but they get out apparently ready to have fight.
Does Portsmouth water contain too much testosterone? Or is it just a town full of desperately sad frustrated little men?
.
* (the rider could have stopped in both cases, but he really shouldn't have to)
The thing about that second video is "why?" - as in, why bother turning your bike around to go back and have an argument? It rather confirms my theory that some folk are either deliberately seeking out confrontation or they're getting some visceral thrill from it.

Or they are prepared to challenge bad behaviour rather than roll over and play dead.
the driving was poor in both cases, but their behaviour was much worse than any driving error they made
if you get abused regularly on your morning commute - its no wonder cyclists start wearing cameras and posting to youtube etc
Notice it says on youtube
BD08 XGL - Mark Green Disco & Karaokereported via 101 on 01/11/2012 and had a very positive meeting with a policewoman who came over to my house this morning to take a statement and a copy of the video. I'll stick my neck out here, but matey boy short disco man was turning from a tight residential road into a road with cars parked on both sides and thus it looked impossible to make the turn keeping to his side of the road. As he was making the turn the cyclist was still some way off but he should have still seen him, and he could have stopped, but that would have just completely blocked the cyclists exit onto the road, and we are presuming the cyclist was of course indicating if he wanted to turn left or right. Just one of those things, and if it was me cycling i'd have not given it a second thought or slowed down instead of trying to make a point. Wonder if the cyclist gesticulated first too, although Disco Man's reaction was of course way out of line and should get all he deserves.
I don't think you're actually getting the point of the Mark Green hatred there mate.
the driving was poor in both cases
No it wasn't. Cyclist rides along in straight line, avoids van as it turns in, driver gives him lip. Cyclist has done nothing wrong that I can see. Driver is an asshat.
If that was me on the bike is have ripped into him good and proper. I thought the cyclist was very restrained TBH.
That said, it is a bit of a storm in a teacup.
Just one of those things, and if it was me cycling i'd have not given it a second thought or slowed down instead of trying to make a point.
That seems to be exactly what he did though.
Pretty sure his original description, before it got pulled, said something along the lines of "Driver ahead was taking a 'pompey corner'. That's just how it goes round here. Thought nothing of it and rode past only to have him shout at me then threaten me"
If you watch the vid he goes past and only stops to "make a point" when the driver shouts something.
It rather confirms my theory that some folk are either deliberately seeking out confrontation or they're getting some visceral thrill from it.
Hurrah! It took long enough for one of those to come along!
Me, I rode in front of a bus the other day, just to get the argument on camera. Good it was. Need a new bike though.
his riding in that second clip takes the mickey
Fair enough - didn't see the original description or notice disco man first shout out of his window - thought they both just stopped and squared up, before Shorty kicked off.

Why?
Yep, why?
@PeterPody
well done you have focussed on and copied the part of my post that was the less important bit and therefore missed the point
anyway, drivers (including me) should always look well into the road into which they are turning before doing actually making the turn - the numpties in the videos didn't look properly (one of them even admits not seeing the cyclist)
Anyone got a working link to Mark Green Disco video on YouTube? I can't see Vimeo on my phone

Video has been replaced though.
I have a copy of the original downloaded from Vimeo.
I could upload it somewhere but it sounds like criminal proceedings are in play so probably best to leave it for now.
I have to agree that in the second vid, the cyclist could have slowed. Fairly narrow road double parked, and the car driver did seem to be driving quite cautiously.
I don't think the car driver was right to toot, but equally the cyclist could have done more to make the situation less inflammatory.
In an ideal world, perhaps the driver shouldn't have pulled out. But given the double parking there, it is not that surprising that he couldn't see everything and he did appear to be proceeding cautiously until the cyclist whizzed up to him.
Near where my sister lives there is parking like that & you often cannot see 100% what is coming when pulling out. So I proceed slowly & with caution, windows down so I can hear approaching road users & with a small amount of assumption that other road users will be driving equally carefully given the situation.

Working linky:
What a tool.
I have to agree that in the second vid, the cyclist could have slowed
But you have an instant, in a situation like that, to make the right decision. Slowing is not necessarily right because you still have a car coming at you, and little space to do anything if the car doesn't stop. It looked to me like the cyclist made the other choice, which was to go for the gap. No issue with that at all, for me.

He'd have had longer to reach that decision if he's been looking where he was going and not down at his front wheel. Again, a momentary feathering of the brakes would have slowed him down enough that the car would have pulled out, got past the other cars and been able to pull over a bit.
stumpy01: I don't think the second car driver was doing anything particularly wrong. As you say, it was a tight space and he was going slowly.
But then I don't think the cyclist did anything wrong either. He could get through and out the way, so he did. For some unknown reason that really irritated the driver - personally I'd have been quite happy that I didn't have to complete the manoeuvre with someone waiting that I'd then have to try and get past.
Mark green Portsmouth disco
Just googled Mark Green Disco and Kareoke - some rather unpleasant reviews of his services, doesn't sound like the sort of chap i'd hire for my party 😆
Just as well Mark Green Disco and Karaoke didnt rock up with his eight karaoke microphones when I was at Dryad.
