I've just fitted a set of 2013 Rebas, and they seem very nice. However , embarrisingly, I'm really battling to fit the Pushlock (it's a lefthand one). I've got old LX 585 hydraulic levers and SRAM Rocket shifters (so an odd combination) on fairly narrow oversize bars and I just can't seem to get the Pushlock to fit nicely anywhere (I had know problems with t the same shifts/levers and a Poplock).

Do I need to use the supplied plastic block that fits between the ends of the clamp (the bolt fits through it) or can I get away without it as this seems to snag the shifters?

It's one of these (OEM I think) and there's a plastic block that sits between the ends of the clamp; it's this block that seems to snag the shifter.

not sure what block you mean but that bit that sticks out is the MMX mount for Sram shifters. Unscrew it if you don't need it or if your shifters are compatible remove their clamp and attach to the pushlock.

Consider moving your brake levers inwards so you use the end of the lever more as this might give you more room and if you can remove shifter windows this helps too.

Thanks for the reply. I think that there must be a variety of models of Pushloc (I'm not even sure if mine has the MMX piece you refer to); it'd probably make sense to post a photograph of the actual unit when I have the time.

The block I'm refering to that snags the shifter fits between the ends of the clamp. When the clamp is closed around the bar, the ends of the clamp don't meet, there's a gap of slightly more that 1cm. The plastic plastic block fits in the gap and is shaped to continue the curve of the clamp around the bars (the bolt fits through the block). I was wondering whether it actually needs to be there.
