While I have had a bike for pretty much the last 10 years I have never really used it effectively. Anyway I wish to take up cycling for exercise but I am not sure what bike to get and as I have a limited budget ~£200 I would like to get advice from some people that are a lot more clued into these areas.

I have looked around and found a few and would like to know others thoughts.

or in the 2nd area

(And on a somewhat related note can you get bike insurance on a 2nd hand bike)

Thanks

I'd steer clear of the Diamondback. Have a looksee in the classifieds on here. for around £200 you should be able to get a decent bike (much better than the ones you've looked at). you can get insurance for 2nd hand bikes but for £200 most household policies cover them without extra cost.

Looks like a good starting point if you just fancy a pootle around the park or along a tow path. But will soon wear out if you get into it big time and becomes more of an obsession, like most on here 😀
