I'm stripping my Orange 5 and putting all the bits on a P7 for a while whilst the 5 gets a colour change.
I have goodridge hoses on hope brakes and obviously i need to cut the hose to extract it from the swingarm. Are the Goodridge fittings re-useable?
CR want £26 for new fittings seems a lot!

Why not just unscrew the banjo from the caliper? No need to cut the hoses then ...

yes fittings are reusable: don't cut the hose. Undo one end, yank it out, reassemble and rebleed.

You'll have to cut the hose at one end to get it through the swingarm, yes? The bits are re-useable though.

The banjo doesn't fit through the holes in the swingarm!

Thanks for the advice of to tinker!

The Goodridge connectors will unscrew from the hose, no need to cut.

The connector on teh breake lever will come off and you can take it apart (i.e. remove olive etc) it will slide though the swingarm - I built a Five up from a frame and fitted my hopes with braided hoses so I know I can take them all apart again!

Goodridge don't use olives, there is a threaded needle section that simply screws in or out of the inner bore of the hose....job done.

Opps - sorry thought just taking about the goodridge braided outers as I thought he had hope kits from a full bike build with hope braided hoses which are made by goodridge. You are quite right about the goodridge connecters 🙂

this is not a big job even a girl is telling you how to do it. 😳
drain fluid ,unscrew banjo ,pull through ,reconnect and bleed. 🙄
or you could just cut it of at the lever end 😆

I think he is saying the banjo wont fit through the rear hole on teh swingarm if its been put through the small hole at the back not the one on the inside of the swingarm? If its the latter he just needs to pull it thought as the banjo should pop through the front of the swingarm by removing the rubber grommit?

ok
if he unscrews the banjo he won't have a problem as the physical size of the hose is at its smallest, and if it went in it must come out the grommet should not be a problem
