Have a nice wee surplus Hobgoblin but it's been in the fridge all day.
I know real ales supposed to be served at room temp but not sure about this Hobgoblin..
Anyone?
Edit- wrong forum, sorry!
I always like it slightly chilled
Leave it out for an hour, it'll be good
That'd be nice lightly chilled given how warm it is today.
lightly chilled and enjoy 😀
You have it what ever way you want, frozen, chilled, warm boiling.. It's up to you.
Lightly chilled to cold for me .
I always find the Wychwood beers are over pasteurised and taste of boiled sweets / burnt .
If you're bearded with a big belly and like your beer festivals, warm.
If you're sensible, chilled. How chilled depends on the beer and situation. A light refreshing beer, nicely chilled. Something heavier, less so. Just not warm.
I'm English, but I just don't find warm beer that appealing, especially having got used to the likes of Belgian and even American micro brew beers (yes, Americans can make some excellent beers, if you stay away from cans, Coors and any big brand generic weak stuff. Local brewed Pale Ale is the best stuff, and some even come in MTB branding!).
If your house is as cold as a cellar then it won't need chilling. 😉
Who gives a sh17 just drink the bugger.
Lightly chilled it is.... Mmm.
Washing down the homemade apple puffs nicely..

Ah, you're back again.
Lightly chilled for me btw, although I'm abstaining until Christmas at the moment... :-/
Real beers at room temp.
[s]Pisswater[/s] Lager cold.
Real beers at [s]room[/s] cellar temp.
13 degC FTW
Real beers at [s]room[/s] cellar temp.
Cool not cold. The colder something is the less you can taste it. Remember that when you see the line-up of super-extra-chilled piss on the bars. 😆
Its your beer drink it as you want , hot cold its your choice. Asking for other opinions is cool as now and again there is a real gem. I once saw an article about chilling red wine which initaly i thought was a no go but the article was spot on and on a hot summer day is so right
there is a scale of temperatures from cellar to room: lighter ale at the cellar end, porters at the room end.
mmmmmm porter.
:wanders off to beer cupboard for a rummage:
Seems to me lots of snobbery in the alcohol drinking fraternity
red wine at room temp. yeah like room temp was 16 / 20 degrees c when it was invented
drink what you like. at the temperature that you like it to be and bolocks to the snobby blobbys
