Anyone tried this?
Looks interesting, am bored. Thinking of building a single speed commuter with garage bits after seeing the gear hub thread. No real need for gears in London...
Split frame for standard belt drive seem expensive. Plenty of old alu / steel frames around.
Interesting - thanks for the link.
Curious why they aren't offering options that would suit mtb use - they have a 4 bolt front pulley but ratios are wrong for off road and can't see an option for rears that fit Shimano cassette spline hubs.
Their FAQ says they are developing one to work on a standard freehub plus screw on. Seemingly it's incompatible with Gates as their belt is 14mm and Gates is 12mm. That seems incredibly short sighted unless there is a compelling technical reason not to offer it 2mm narrower which, given the application, I can't imagine.
It does work with hub gears which is something I guess. But it's bloody expensive, I get that it's probably mostly bespoke and that's where the costs are but that is where the 2mm difference makes even less sense.
