Not a school night so having a few beers as usual. Possibly riding tomorrow. On these occasions I seem to wrestle with two thoughts

- have a few drinks and sod the ride

- take it easy and enjoy the ride

I reckon it averages about 50/50

Am I the only one who struggles with this?

Many a pizza has been baked on the sun-warmed rock at the top of the first climb of the day...

Just tucking into a nice Rioja, having sampled some of John Thatchers finest, and looking to finish the evening with something French and apple based (Armagnac)....

At 09.30 I am off for a 50+ mile off road all day ride, punctuated with stops for refreshment at public houses 😯

I hope to be sober by Wednesday....ish 😆

I'm very much enjoying a Bavaria Beer alcohol-free lager at the moment.

Bigbob - now that's the way to roll!

My taste is slightly more crass. Stella and a bottle of gin with a blue stripe on it.

I never bother riding the next day if I'm drinking heavily - hangover + usually early and long drive to get there = crap. That only applies to non-local rides though, it's just the drive I can't be doing with and if there were local trails I think it'd be ok.

I like a good drink & I also like to have a decent ride out. Can't stand half assed rides or going out for only a few shandies. So if I've a ride planned I don't drink or if I've got a night out then I don't ride the next day...Simples
