Planning this year's Alpine holiday. Anyone been to Valmorel or the Three valleys (Meribel/Courcheval? What is it like?

Last year we did a day at Vars in southern Alps which looked good on map but turned out to be really dull so keen to avoid wasting money on uplift for rubbish biking.

Also planning to go to Les Arcs and stay at the campsite at Nancroix and try and find some of the routes we did with Trail Addiction many years ago. If anyone has any marked up on a map that would be great.

Bump, I'm keen for opinions about Meribel and the riding in the area?

meribel has some amazing trails from the top of the hill to the valley floor. There are about 4 options from memory. You have to get the bus back up from Brides les bains so timings are fixed. Some of the bike park stuff is ok as well. ridges are by far the best but do need some pedalling.

Hi
I go to Meribel most summers for the biking, its great. Loads of off piste stuff and its quiet.
The lifts work with the other valleys, however, im more xc than an uplift type.

Just to update - Meribel is great, lots to go at, we didn't get beyond the lift assisted riding (woodsmoked and forest jump were ace)so didn't take advantage of the navette uplift to do the trails that went below the height of the lift station. One to go back to definitely

Valmorel we didnt use the lifts as it didnt seem good VFM - at best 2 of the lifts were open on a day. They do have a free bus (3 times per day) from the valley to access a couple of enduro trails, The reds were not great - swicthbacks too tight but the blue was superb and you could navigate across to it without using the lifts. Wouldnt rush back their mind,
