Is parking on Park Lane allowed/possible again? Haven't driven there for a year or two and last time it was blocked off, I know there was talk of restricting access.

Is there anywhere else on that side of the forest I could park and cycle in?

Not allowed.
But they have built a free car park at the end of it. Obvs gets full quickly on a weekend.

Haven’t been since pre-covid but would be interested in a trail report if you do go, supposedly the (already very tame!) MTB trail has been sanitised somewhat.

So the same as it used to be? Last time I tried they'd put logs across the old parking spot.

@zilog6128 - I go there quite a bit. Trail surfaces are massively sanitised (quite loose and gravely in places too).
It's basically a gravel xc loop now. There are some nice berms and little jumps though. It really suits a rigid or short travel hardtail.
That probably sounds negative but it's a nice easy way to smash out an hour or two.

The Cellar Head brewery is just over the A21 from the forest so a nice way to round off a ride with a pint.

Cool, they get Cellar Head in my local sometimes, knew it was Kent but didn’t realise it was down that way!

Used to be a member of the Boars for the free parking but I don’t think they do that anymore? Will probably end up going once or twice this year with the Mrs if it’s a bit tamer so good in a way I guess!!

Yeah you can only get membership from the forestry commission for the parking now. £80/year doesn't seem worth it for the amount I'm likely to go.
