****in cold outside - would bobbing the bike in the turbo and pedalling like **** work to bed new disc pads in or is it a stupid idea?
knobbly tyres on a turbo? have you got understanding neighbours?
really 🙁
I don't think there would be enough momentum to put enough energy into them
No momentum of you and bike actually moving so you would have to pedal like a complete ******** to simulate a 30-0mph downhill stop. Cranking up a big hill will get you warm enough anyway, get out there you big jessie 🙂
done
No matter how hard you pedal, you'll never take off.
Only thing the brakes will be stopping is the rotation of the wheel.
I'd be amazed if you could bed them to something equating what you would on the road.
Nooooo! You will trash a wheel doing that. Momentum of the inertia unit will put a ding in your rim at least. Seen it done on a road wheel - not pretty.
?????????????????????????????????????????????
I think you'll have trouble bedding in the front pads.
Never apply brakes on a turbo! MU, winter kit, get out and find a hill... 🙄
It'll be fine. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.
