Off to Alps on Thursday and have to do family stuff all day tomorrow. Unfortunately backend of th FS was a bit sloppy when I gave it a clean. Just spent 3hours breaking it down and getting bearings out, one of which obviously exploded.
So odds on rm getting anew set here and my having ordered the correct ones. All in time to rebuild bike for Wednesday night.
I have back ups but this gamble is exciting.

I've had them next day from Blue Seal bearings. Now Trailvision. We always have a stock but when ordering they usually turn up next day

Have you got a local bearing shop? They are surprisingly common and keep decent stock. Not much help if you are in the middle of nowhere but many big towns and cities have one.

Nearest bearing supplier is 60miles away. Going to struggle to get there and back then get parents to a birthday lunch 60miles in the opposite direction.
ACH it'll be fine. I can always take the Pace hardtail.

Edit: RM have my parcel.

I have some spares, what size/code do you need? I ordered some today for next day from Trailvision, they're in the post tonight. Tom does offer special by 1pm.

@relapsed_mandalorian cheers for the thought. RM are delivering today so hopefully it'll all be good.
A day of zen like calm will be needed.

Always hang onto the odd 'serviceable' bearing when changing them - just in case.

I was planning to but I've only found one of twelve that isn't graunchy. Several were not good at all.

Woop have a bike shaped object in the garage, everything is no longer sloppy. Might have a real bike tomorrow.

Where did you get your bearings from in the end? Mine from trailvision arrived today, headrest no longer wobbles like a smashed fresher.

Good job.
In that situation I would have probably ordered the same from 2 places in case one was delayed. You would then have a set to go for a year's time, or whenever you swap bearings. Wych have been good and quick before too.
