This beauty is a Stridsland Ti frame with some bling parts hanging off it
Where would you start (frame wise) if you wanted to build something similar for a fraction of the cost?
Anyone built anything similar?
Full pics here for Facebook peeps

I’d be scouring eBay for something like a Dynatech Torus.
For beach cruisers I've always liked the look of the Pashley Parabike frame. There's one in the classifieds but I really don't have the space for a bike I realistically wouldn't use much.
Sour Bikes Bad Granny also looks pretty good for clunker style.

This is mine, though I’ve now got a front rack on it with a bar bag too. Started with a BFe 26 frame off eBay for just over £100 and added a set of On One wheels off the classifieds from here. Great for commuting.
It wouldn't cost any less, but I do like the Merlin Newsboy - and they released a new one last year.
I think Stridsland do a steel version too?

Should've known @tazzymtb would appear in this thread! Needs eeWings though mate!
One of my Breezers 🙂

The Stridsland is a lovely bike I'm sure, but deffo not cruiser porn. It looks more like a parts bin special to me.
A stooge MK4 with it's curved fork looks a million times better.
Get on old 90s steel MTB and rat it!

Did someone say MK4?

Haha!
It was a 'rat saddle' experiment that failed miserably. No longer on there but don't have any other photos.

That's pretty much where he started, the Beachcomber is really an oldschool MTB that can take big tyres.
@theartistformerlyknownasstr check his website, save the rat bike on Insta or r/biking for inspiration.
