I'm entering this race in December:
De Panne beach race
Mostly hard packed beach with a few soft sections.
I'm doing it on an old rigid 26", so would like some idea of what tyres are likely to be good for the beach?
Any ideas?

The fattest slicks / file-treads you can fit

2.35 Super Moto used to be good for this.

Thanks, unfortunately they are not made any more, but I get the idea, something fat, almost semi slick tread.
